Ghana

Ghana,officially the Republic of Ghana, is a country located along the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean, in the subregion of West Africa.

Ghana's population is approximately 30 million.

71.2% of the population is Christian, 17.6% is Muslim, and 5.2% practised traditional faiths.

Ghana is a member of the Non-Aligned Movement, the African Union, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Group of 24 (G24) and the Commonwealth of Nations.

English is the official language. Additionally, there are eleven languages that have the status of government-sponsored languages which are four Akan languages (Asante Twi, Akuapem Twi, Fante and Nzema) , Ga, two Mole-Dagbani ethnic languages (Dagaare and Dagbani), Ewe, Dangme, Guan and Kasem

The Adomi Bridge

The Adomi bridge The Adomi bridge is located in Atimpoku in the Eastern Region of Ghana.The bridge spans the Volta River that drains into the Gulf of Guinea , south of the Akosombo Dam . The bridge was  designed in 1956 and completed in 1957 by William Brown, of the engineers Freeman Fox & Partners. The Adomi has a free span of 245 m and a total length of approximately 336 m which makes it the longest bridge in Ghana. Kakum National park

The Kakum national park The kakum national park covers an area of 375 square kilometres. The park is located in the central region of Ghana. The area is covered with a tropical forest.The most notable endangered species in the park are Diana monkey , giant bongo antelope , yellow-backed duiker and African elephant . The park is an important bird area, 266 species of birds have been confirmed in the park.  It is one of the few locations in Africa with a canopy walkway , which is 350 metres (1,150 ft) long and connects seven tree tops. With viewing platforms up to 35 metres above the forest floor. Some of the tree canopies are more than 50 metres (160 ft) in height. Built with wire rope, aluminium ladders, wooden planks, and  it is secured by a series of netting for safety purposes. The Park can now boast of a Tree House which sits about 20metres from the forest floor in the trees in the Secondary Forest.
